THE RUMOR MILL’s December 2010 VISUAL ARTIST’S GROUP SHOW is at once a look back over the year that was, and a thank-you to the all of the visual artists whose artworks have graced our walls and stimulated our mind’s eye over the past eleven months. We heartily thank them all for exhibiting their paintings, photographs, sculptures and assemblages here at The Rumor Mill and for the joy and inspiration their artworks have added to our days in the year now ending. The 2010 Honor Roll of participating artists, and the titles of their exhibitions, includes:

Each artist will display two or three signature pieces in this show, and all of the displayed artwork will be for sale. The Artists’ Opening Reception for the Rumor Mill 2010 Visual Artists’ GROUP SHOW will be Saturday, 12/4/2010 from 7:30-10:00 pm. Most of the artists will be in attendance for the opening festivities. There will be food, drink and fun.

Musical entertainment for the opening will be provided by soulful singer/guitarist Moy Lovos and bassist Jesse from MAYAZTEK, whose music fuses rhythms from around the globe, utilizing musical genres like ska, jazz, reggae, cumbia and rhumba to create its own exciting and eclectic World Beat Sound that is filled with positive energy and good vibes. Recently the band recorded a full-length, 14-track CD entitled ARBOL, which will be available for purchase at the show.

This is a final opportunity to meet the artists whose works you’ve admired this year and, should the spirit move you and the price be right, to acquire something special for yourself or for that lucky someone on your gift list. Come and help us celebrate these 2010 contributors to the Rumor Mill creative community!
